          Active Ingredients

          • Herbal supplements that are specifically formulated to support PMS, perimenopause, and menopause health often include vitamin B6 as a key ingredient. Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being during these stages of a woman's life.

Firstly, vitamin B6 has been found to alleviate the symptoms associated with PMS (premenstrual syndrome). Many women experience mood swings, irritability, and bloating during the premenstrual phase. Vitamin B6 helps regulate mood by promoting the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that promotes feelings of well-being. Additionally, vitamin B6 aids in reducing water retention and bloating by supporting the body's fluid balance.

Secondly, during perimenopause and menopause, vitamin B6 can provide relief from various symptoms. Hot flashes, a common symptom during these stages, can be reduced with the help of vitamin B6. It is believed to regulate hormone levels and improve the function of the nervous system, helping to mitigate hot flashes. Additionally, vitamin B6 supports proper metabolism and energy production, which can help combat fatigue and promote overall vitality during perimenopause and menopause.

Overall, vitamin B6 is a valuable component of herbal supplements designed for PMS, perimenopause, and menopause health. Its ability to regulate mood, reduce water retention, alleviate hot flashes, and boost energy levels makes it an essential nutrient for women going through these stages of life.

          • Herbal supplements designed for PMS, perimenopause, and menopause health often include zinc as a key ingredient. Zinc is an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in numerous bodily functions. It is involved in the production of enzymes and proteins, as well as supporting immune function and DNA synthesis. In relation to women's health, zinc has been recognized for its potential benefits during these stages.

Zinc is known to help alleviate PMS symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, and fatigue. It has been suggested that zinc may help regulate hormone levels, particularly oestrogen and progesterone, which can fluctuate during the menstrual cycle. Additionally, zinc has been shown to support healthy immune function, which may be compromised during PMS. By including zinc in herbal PMS supplements, it aims to provide relief and promote overall well-being during this time.

During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal changes occur in a woman's body, leading to various symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. Zinc may offer benefits by supporting hormonal balance and reducing the severity of these symptoms. Furthermore, zinc plays a role in collagen synthesis, which helps maintain healthy skin and may assist with combating the aging effects that can accompany menopause. By including zinc in herbal supplements designed for perimenopause and menopause health, it aims to address these specific needs and promote a smooth transition through these stages of life.

          • Red clover, scientifically known as Trifolium pratense, is a popular herb that has been used for centuries due to its various health benefits. When it comes to women's health, red clover is often incorporated into herbal supplements designed to support PMS, perimenopause, and menopause symptoms.

Red clover contains naturally occurring compounds called isoflavones, specifically genistein and daidzein, which are known as phytoestrogens. These compounds have a similar structure to the hormone oestrogen, and as a result, they can bind to oestrogen receptors in the body. This property of red clover makes it a useful herb for women experiencing hormonal imbalances during the different stages of their reproductive life.

Studies have suggested that red clover supplements may help alleviate symptoms commonly associated with PMS, such as mood swings, irritability, and breast tenderness. Additionally, during perimenopause and menopause, when oestrogen levels decline, red clover's phytoestrogens may provide relief from hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and bone loss.

          • Wild yam, scientifically known as Dioscorea villosa, is a perennial vine native to North America. Its root has been used for centuries in traditional medicine to address various health concerns, especially those related to women's reproductive health. Herbal PMS, perimenopause, and menopause health supplements often contain wild yam due to its potential therapeutic properties.

Wild yam is believed to possess natural anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which may help alleviate symptoms associated with PMS (premenstrual syndrome) such as abdominal pain, bloating, and breast tenderness. Additionally, it contains compounds called steroidal saponins, including diosgenin, which is structurally similar to oestrogen. This has led to the belief that wild yam may help balance hormone levels during perimenopause and menopause, reducing symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.

In terms of nutritional benefits, wild yam is a good source of dietary fibre, potassium, and vitamin C. Fibre aids in digestive health and may help regulate bowel movements. Potassium is essential for maintaining proper heart function and blood pressure levels. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that supports the immune system and promotes collagen synthesis. While herbal supplements containing wild yam are not a substitute for a healthy diet and lifestyle, they can be a potential natural option to support women's health during various stages of reproductive life.
